GUIDE HACHETTE DES VINS 2002
Château du Seuil, Graves Red 1998 : 2 Stars : "This wine is
obviously the result of a careful work. Made with 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 45%
Merlot and 5% malbec it was aged for 15 months in oak barrels. Nice morello
cherry nose still exhibiting oak with flattering flavours of heated oak. On
the palate, tanins are soft and well-balanced and give an elegant and well-made
bottle that "you like to find out". Already nice to drink for connoisseurs,
this vintage 1998 will improve nevertheless with a 3-year-sleep in your cellar.
